Each four minutes we send the water from the bottom of
the fish tank through a clear PVC pipe to thin tubing,
leading to the top of the 2 liter bottles and gravity
allows the water to cascade through the bottles emptying
                        into the main fish tank.

This 250 gallon tank is separated into two zones. At
the top where the fish reside, we constantly filter
the suspended solids in the water to keep it
clear. Below this zone is a semi permeable membrane of
stones, which allow the fish waste to settle beyond the
stones to the bottom. This bottom zone is where the water
is drawn up and pumped to the top of the plant
                        containers.

Here you can see the water trickling down into the tank
which oxygenates the environment for the fish.
